Progressive Care – Neuro Trauma | Portsmouth, NH

Unit Overview

The unit manages intermediate-to-high acuity neuro and trauma patients, with a focus on close monitoring and collaborative, team-oriented care. Typical procedures include chest tube management and EEGs. You'll work alongside a consistent team of RNs and patient care aides on each shift.

Required Skills & Certifications

• Telemetry/step-down experience (required)
• Neuro experience (preferred)
• Trauma experience (preferred)
• ACLS and BLS (required)
• NIHSS and TNCC (preferred)

Schedule & Expectations

• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• Float coverage to all inpatient units, including ICU and ED

Dress Code

No specific scrub color required; professional appearance expected.

Ideal Candidate

A team-oriented clinician comfortable with neurological and trauma patient populations, bedside monitoring, end-tidal O2 monitoring, high-flow therapy, chronic ventilator management, and subdural drain care.
