Emergency Department RN — Freestanding ED | Houston, TX Area

Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 13-Week Contract

This position supports a freestanding emergency department serving a diverse patient population across a range of acuity levels. The unit provides full emergency care including stabilization, sedation, and neurological assessment.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 19:00–07:00
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekends as needed or every other (per preference)
• No on-call requirement

Clinical Scope

• IV starts, blood draws, moderate sedation, splinting
• Cardiac monitoring and neurological assessment
• Care spans pediatric through adult populations

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active RN License
• ACLS, BLS, PALS
• TNCC
• NIHSS
• CPI

Preferred Certifications

• ENPC
• NRP

Float

Float to a secondary freestanding ED location may be required on an as-needed basis.

Dress Code

Royal blue scrubs; closed-toed shoes (no open-hole clogs); no acrylic nails, wireless earbuds, or smart glasses. Stethoscope required.
