Cardiac Catheterization / Electrophysiology Lab — Travel RN

San Antonio, TX | 13-Week Contract | Days | 4 x 10-Hour Shifts

This CCL/EP Lab position supports a high-volume interventional cardiac and electrophysiology program. The lab operates from 0600–2200, and candidates should be comfortable with variable shift lengths (8, 10, or 12 hours) and staying until cases are complete.

Procedures Performed

• AFib/AFlutter ablations
• Permanent pacemaker implantation (PPM)
• Watchman device implantation
• Left and right heart catheterization (LHC/CHC), PCI
• Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump support
• Peripheral vascular cases and thrombectomies
• IR procedures (permacath, PEG tubes)

Required Skills

• Independent monitoring of AFib/AFlutter ablation cases
• Scrubbing AFib/AFlutter ablations and permanent pacemakers

Preferred Skills

• Combined CCL and EP experience
• Ability to float between the EP lab and Cath Lab and perform across case types

Required Certifications

RCIS or RCES, ACLS, BLS

Schedule & Call

• Shift: 0600–1630 (4 x 10, Days)
• EP-focused travelers: 2 on-call weekends per month; flexibility to stay late on weekdays
• CCL-focused travelers: approximately 11 call days per month; must reside within 30 minutes of the facility

Additional Details

• Guaranteed hours: 36/week
• Scrubs provided by the facility
• Float between EP Lab and Cath Lab as needed
• Punctuality required; call-outs must be reported at least 2 hours before shift start
