Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

About the Role

The facility seeks a compassionate, detail-oriented RN to join its medical-surgical and telemetry unit on the 3rd shift. You'll provide evidence-based nursing care to adult patients with a diverse range of medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and implement individualized care plans using the nursing process
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs; identify and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments, including cardiac drips, per physician orders
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound care and pain management
• Coordinate care for patients with chronic and acute conditions (diabetes, cardiac, respiratory diagnoses)
• Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, case managers, and the interdisciplinary team on care coordination and discharge planning
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EMR
• Uphold infection control, fall prevention, and quality improvement protocols
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members in patient care activities

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license (or compact license as applicable)
• ADN or ASN; BSN preferred
• BLS and ACLS certification
• 1+ years of medical-surgical/telemetry experience
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills

Schedule

• 3rd shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekends and holidays as scheduled
• 13-week contract
• Start date: November 30, 2026
