PACU Registered Nurse — Gainesville, GA

This post-anesthesia care unit position supports patients recovering from a wide range of surgical procedures. The unit manages varying acuity levels, with nurse-to-patient assignments that flex between one-to-one and one-to-two depending on patient status.

Schedule & Contract Details

• Shift: PM — 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours)
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Start date: November 23, 2026
• Guaranteed hours included

Clinical Scope

• Post-anesthesia recovery for general surgical and specialty cases
• Full range of procedures supported — all specialties except transplant
• High-acuity monitoring and intervention as patients emerge from anesthesia

Call & Additional Expectations

• Call shifts required: 3 shifts per 6-week period
• Scrub color: Any color or pattern accepted

Requirements

• Active RN license in Georgia (or compact eligibility)
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
• PACU or critical care experience preferred
• Ability to manage variable acuity and respond quickly to post-surgical complications

This role is well-suited for a PACU nurse who is comfortable managing diverse surgical recovery cases and can adapt to fluctuating patient acuity within a fast-paced environment.
