Neuro/Medical ICU — Registered Nurse | 13-Week Contract | Nights

Morgantown, WV | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Start: October 31, 2026

This neuroscience/medical ICU assignment focuses on high-acuity critical care patients including those with stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, external ventricular drains (EVDs), dialysis needs, and complex neurological disorders requiring intensive monitoring and intervention.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour nights, 7 PM – 7 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Preference and block scheduling considered based on unit needs
• Weekend requirement: 3 Sat/Sun shifts plus 1 Friday and 1 Monday per four-week schedule
• Holidays assigned as needed, not every holiday

Clinical Scope

• RNs required to titrate drips: Levophed, phenylephrine, Versed, paralytics, heparin, insulin, nicardipine, vasopressin
• Respiratory support: ventilators, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, nasal cannula
• Telemetry monitored remotely by techs on a separate floor
• Charge nurse is free from assignment; Intensivist in-house days, on call nights; 24/7 APP coverage; 24/7 Respiratory Therapy support

Required Certifications & Licensure

• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS — all required at time of submission
• Active RN license (willing to wait for WV licensure)
• BSN not required

Experience

• Minimum ICU/critical care experience required
• Neuro ICU background strongly preferred

Cancellation Policy: Up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract
