Emergency Department RN — Austin, TX

Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM | Contract: 13 Weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 26/week

This urban Emergency Department provides advanced care across cardiac, ortho/spine, oncology, and maternal-fetal specialties. The department operates a 24/7 fast track and maintains dedicated and charge RN coverage around the clock. ED PCTs trained in phlebotomy and splinting provide additional bedside support at all hours.

Clinical Scope

• High-acuity emergency care including cardiac, stroke, oncologic, and maternal-fetal presentations

• No floating outside of the ED

Schedule & Dress Code

• Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
• Scrub color: Navy blue

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience
• Active RN license (Nursys verification required at submission)
• BLS required; additional certifications may be required at onboarding
• Must complete specialty exam, EKG exam, and core competency assessments upon onboarding
• Standard health clearances required (immunizations, TB screening, drug screen)
• Two professional references required at submission
