Pediatric Emergency Department Nurse
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Pediatric Emergency Department Nurse for a 13-week contract. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting, working nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) as a Charge Nurse supporting the care team.
Clinical Scope
You'll manage acutely ill and injured pediatric patients, implementing and monitoring individualized care plans. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing patient conditions and communicating updates to the healthcare team
- Coordinating care across multiple disciplines (physicians, social work, child life, patient care technicians)
- Executing physician and nursing orders
- Documenting patient progress accurately
- Collaborating on discharge planning and post-emergency follow-up care
Requirements
- Current RN license (verification required)
- Ability to work the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Professional references and education verification
- Standard onboarding credentials: immunizations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap), TB screening, fit test, background check, and drug screening
- PALS certification
- Valid Driver's License/State ID

- Guaranteed hours: 36/week
