Neuro/Surgical Telemetry RN — Travel Contract | Jackson, TN

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks

• Start Date: November 30, 2026

Unit Overview

This Neuro/Surgical Telemetry floor manages adult and geriatric patients with neurological and telemetry-monitored diagnoses. Nurses on this unit are expected to float to other MS/Tele units or a low-acuity ICU as needed.

Schedule Requirements

• 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Holiday availability required
• No on-call obligations

Clinical Skills & Scope

Candidates should be comfortable with:

• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Central line and PICC line care, port access, and peripheral IV management
• BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula management
• Heparin and IV insulin protocols, PCA management
• Pre/post neurosurgery and traumatic brain injury care
• Tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and wound/wound vac care
• Blood product administration and procedural sedation monitoring
• Stroke (CVA) care and ABG interpretation

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active Tennessee or compact RN license
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele experience
• Electronic health record proficiency within the past 18 months must be clearly documented; candidates must pass an on-site competency exam (one attempt only)
• Travel experience preferred; charge experience a plus
