Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced PACU nurse to join its recovery team on a 13-week contract assignment in Atlanta, GA, beginning December 7, 2026.
Schedule
- 4 × 10-hour shifts per week (40 hours total)
- Day shift: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM
- On-call requirements: 4–5 shifts per month
- Weeknights: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekends: 12-hour shifts
- Holidays: 12-hour shifts
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months of PACU experience
- Current RN license (Georgia)
- BLS certification required
What You'll Do
Monitor and care for post-operative patients as they recover from anesthesia and surgery. You'll assess vital signs, manage pain and nausea, prevent complications, and prepare patients for discharge or transfer to inpatient units. Work alongside a dedicated PACU team focused on quality patient recovery.
