Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist – Cath Lab
Position Overview
The facility's catheterization lab is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to join a fast-paced team performing 8 cases per day across 2 lab suites. You'll scrub cardiac and peripheral interventional procedures in a collaborative environment with on-site cardiologists and dedicated support services.
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 10-hour days (0700–1700)
- Call Requirement: On-call approximately 12 days per month, including rotating weekends; 30-minute response time
- Duration: 91 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
- Cancellation Policy: Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment period
Required Qualifications
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience
- Demonstrated scrubbing experience for PCI and STEMI procedures
- Ability to scrub both cardiac and peripheral cases
- Valid government-issued ID
Clinical Scope
You'll perform all cardiac invasive procedures (excluding structural heart interventions) and peripheral procedures including carotid work, A/V grafts, EVAR, and peripheral diagnostics and interventions.
