Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join its Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). You'll provide direct patient care, coordinate care across disciplines, and manage discharge planning in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Unit & Scope
You'll work in a dynamic medical-surgical unit with a cardiac patient population. The role requires strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while thriving under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans
- Observe, record, and communicate patient conditions accurately
- Coordinate care among all disciplines for seamless patient outcomes
- Execute physician and nursing orders with precision
- Assess and facilitate discharge planning in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Demonstrate clinical competency in a stressful, fast-paced setting
Requirements
- Current RN license (verification required)
- Professional references and skills checklist submission
- Ability to wear navy or maroon scrubs
- Commitment to core competencies and unit-specific training
Assignment Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 22, 2026
- Location: Waco, TX
Onboarding includes required health screenings, background check, and charting system training.
