Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Position Overview

The facility's Operating Room is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. You'll work in a high-acuity surgical environment supporting adult and geriatric patients across a diverse range of specialties.

Shift & Schedule

• 4x10 hours: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Call requirement: Approximately 6 weekday call shifts and 2 weekend call rotations per contract
• No regular weekend shift commitment
• Floating to other OR cases required based on facility needs
• Orientation: 40 hours

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
• Pennsylvania RN license
• BLS certification (required); TNCC (preferred)
• Strong experience in General OR, Total Joint Replacement, Neuro, Vascular, and Trauma surgical cases
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Charge nurse experience required

Clinical Scope

You'll assist with procedures including:

• General surgery: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, Whipple
• Orthopedic: total hip and knee replacements, fracture procedures, spine cases
• Neuro: spinal fusion, cervical/lumbar procedures, craniotomy, laminectomy/discectomy
• Vascular: carotid procedures, AV fistula repair, femoral-popliteal bypass, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair
• Transplant procedures
• High-acuity trauma cases

• Facility-provided orientation and support
• Local candidates accepted (within 50-mile radius with local rate differential)
• Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required
