Medical-Surgical Nurse — 13-Week Travel Assignment
Position Overview
Join the facility's medical-surgical nursing team in a dynamic acute-care environment. You'll provide direct patient care, contribute to an interdisciplinary care team, and support both routine and complex patient management.
Schedule & Unit Details
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 3x12 or 4x12
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 23, 2026
- Scrub Color: Navy blue
- Floating Required: You may float to other medical-surgical units and may be asked to float across local campuses within your discipline.
Clinical Scope
You'll work with medical-surgical and neuro-orthopedic patients, providing care across a range of acuities and procedures typical of an acute-care med-surg setting.
Requirements
- Minimum 1.5 years of relevant nursing experience
- Current Iowa RN license (or Iowa-compact license)
- Active BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military also accepted)
- Active NIHSS certification
- Heparin experience required
- Valid driver's license
- One supervisory reference completed within the last two years
- First-time travelers welcome
Holiday Expectations
You must be available to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day). One day off is permitted between 11/25–11/29 and one between 12/23–12/27.
