Medical/Surgical Telemetry — Travel RN | Sioux City, IA

Night Shift | 13-Week Contract

This night shift opening is on a general medical/surgical floor focused on post-operative care. Patients include those recovering from prostatectomy, mastectomy, abdominal surgeries, thyroidectomy, and similar procedures requiring overnight stays. The role also involves administering drips, including Heparin, and caring for telemetry-monitored patients.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 or 48 hours per week (both options available)
• Every other weekend required
• Float to other Med/Surg Tele units across local campuses within the same discipline

Holiday Expectations

Travelers are required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day). Time-off requests are limited to 1 day during 11/25–11/29 and 12/23–12/27.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience
• Active Iowa or compact RN license
• Active BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or U.S. Military accepted)
• Active NIHSS certification
• Charting system experience required
• Med/Surg Tele-specific skills checklist
• 1 supervisory reference completed within the last 2 years
• Valid driver's license
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs

First-time travelers are welcome. No on-call required.
