Med Surg Tele

Medical/Surgical Telemetry Travel Nurse — Sioux City, IA

This 13-week contract places you on a general medical/surgical floor specializing in post-operative care. The unit manages patients recovering from procedures including prostatectomy, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, and abdominal surgeries. Heparin drips are administered on the floor.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 or 48 hours per week (both options available)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Travelers must be available to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day); limited time-off requests during holiday windows apply

Floating

You may be asked to float within the same Med/Surg Tele discipline across local campuses.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Electronic health record experience required (must be proficient)
• Active Iowa RN license or compact license (must reflect Active status)
• Active BLS (AHA preferred; ARC or U.S. Military certificates accepted)
• Active NIHSS certification
• Valid driver's license
• First-time travelers welcome

Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs

Non-Local Requirement: Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on their driver's license address.
