Operating Room Nurse – 16-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Operating Room nurse for a 16-week assignment. You'll work day shifts in a busy surgical environment supporting multiple specialty service lines.
Schedule & Requirements
- Shift: Day 3x12-hour (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), Saturday, Sunday, Monday
- Variable call: Weekend shifts only
- Contract duration: 16 weeks
- Start date: November 16, 2026
- Location: Atlanta, GA
- License required: Georgia or Compact RN license
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of OR experience (required; not open to first-time travelers)
- Must have demonstrated experience in all of the following specialties:
- Neurology
- Transplant (solid organ)
- General Surgery
- GYN
- Orthopedics
- Current BLS certification
- Travel experience required
- Clinical screening will assess fit for this role
Clinical Scope
You'll circulate and scrub cases across multiple service lines: bariatrics, urology, neurology, ENT, plastics, ophthalmology, general surgery, GYN, and orthopedics. Case examples include craniotomies, lumbar fusions, organ donation, total joint replacements, hysterectomies, and laparoscopic procedures.
Floating & Call
- Float within facility scope and to outpatient areas as needed
- Variable weekend call shifts
Time Off & Compliance
- Maximum 7 days pre-approved time off per contract
- All RTO must be finalized at time of submission
- Blackout dates: 11/23–11/29 and 12/21–1/3 (no holiday time-off requests approved)
- Full compliance required to start on time; delays result in 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation
Important: Clinical screening is required before manager interview. Candidates without experience in all five required specialties will not advance.
