Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Massena, NY | 13-Week Contract

This Med/Surg Telemetry position is a great fit for experienced travel nurses comfortable managing a general medical patient population with cardiac monitoring needs. The unit cares for adult and geriatric patients presenting with COPD, ia, cellulitis, non-specific abdominal pain, and chest pain rule-outs.

Shift & Schedule

• 4x12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Float required

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start date: November 23, 2026
• NY state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers not accepted

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS

Clinical Skills Required

• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Telemetry monitoring
• Blood product administration
• Central line, PICC, and peripheral line care
• IV initiation and maintenance
• BiPAP/CPAP and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) management
• Non-invasive airway and oxygen management
• CVA and seizure disorder management
• Substance withdrawal care
• Isolation precautions/PPE

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Scrubs: any nursing uniform color

Orientation: 12 hours on-site; pre-start modules required (up to 10 hours total)

Interdisciplinary Support: Physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, phlebotomy, and unit secretarial support available on unit.
