Medical-Surgical RN — Travel Contract | Saratoga Springs, NY

Shift: Days, 3×12-hour shifts (07:00–19:30)

About the Unit

This Med-Surg unit manages a high volume of adult and geriatric patients across a diverse range of diagnoses, including pulmonary conditions, infectious disease, oncology, surgical cases, and end-of-life care. The unit utilizes remote telemetry monitoring, with rhythms reviewed in a central monitoring location. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, and more.

Schedule & Float

• Day shift; weekend coverage required
• Floating within the hospital may be required at the manager's discretion, within scope of practice

Requirements

• Active New York State RN license (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of acute hospital nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Charting system proficiency required
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Flu vaccine required; medical or religious exemption documentation must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to start
• COVID-19 vaccine not required

Pre-Start Compliance

• EKG competency exam required — must be completed within 72 hours of signing
• Online orientation modules (approximately 12–15 hours) must be completed by 7:00 a.m. the Wednesday before start; incomplete modules may result in removal from orientation
• References required at submission
