Medical-Surgical RN — Travel Contract | Santa Monica, CA
Contract Details
- Shift: Days, 3×12 (07:00–19:00)
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Start date: ASAP
- Orientation: 12 hours
Clinical Scope
Nurses on this unit perform and manage:
- PCA and blood administration
- Chest tube care, including digital chest tube management
- Continuous bladder irrigations
- High-flow oxygen therapy
- Breast flap postoperative care
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Peripheral IV placement and maintenance
- Phlebotomy/venipuncture (required skill)
Scheduling Expectations
- Every other weekend required (approximately 12 weekend shifts per contract)
- Must commit to 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
- All RTO must be submitted at time of application — post-offer requests may not be accommodated
- Floating between nearby sister facilities may be required
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg RN experience (travel experience required; first-timers not accepted)
- Active RN license (compact license must be in hand at submission)
- BLS certification
- Scrub color: Navy blue
- Local candidates (within 50 miles) accepted
