CVOR Surgical Technologist | Wilmington, NC | 13-Week Contract

This multi-specialty surgical services department supports a high volume of inpatient, outpatient, and emergent procedures across a broad range of specialties. The environment demands flexibility, clinical precision, and the ability to scrub confidently across diverse case types.

Shift: 4x10-hour days, 06:15–16:45

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: November 23, 2026

Clinical Scope

The surgical team performs cases spanning vascular, general, cardiac, neurosurgery, orthopedic, urology, EENT, OB/GYN, plastics, oral/maxillofacial, trauma, dental, pediatric, neonatal, endoscopy, and organ harvesting.

Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years of surgical technologist experience; travel experience required
• CVOR and Trauma (Level II) experience required
• Cardiac and vascular surgery case experience required
• Patient population: adolescents through geriatrics
• BLS and NBSTSA certifications required
• Proficiency in: aseptic technique, fire safety, laser safety, sharps safety, specimen handling/labeling, sterilization/disinfection, and universal protocol (time-out procedure)
• Scrubbing required for every case

Preferred

• Community hospital background
• Organ donation experience

Additional Details

• Call: 2 days per week and every third weekend
• Float: May float to Main OR and Vascular OR as needed
• Weekends: Required as needed
• Scrubs: Provided
• Orientation: 40 hours
• NC or compact license (pending) accepted at submission
• Local candidates (within 50 miles) are accepted; a local rate applies
