Travel RN – Telemetry | Saratoga Springs, NY

Night Shift | 13-Week Contract

This telemetry unit cares for adult and geriatric patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, with a clinical focus on dysrhythmia management, IV cardiac medication administration, and stroke care. The unit operates at a daily census of approximately 38 patients, with interdisciplinary support including Rapid Response Teams, Respiratory Services, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, and Social Services.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
• Weekend coverage required
• Float within the hospital within your skill set as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active New York RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; at least 1 year of recent telemetry or step-down experience required
• BLS and ACLS (required prior to start)
• NIHSS (may be obtained prior to start)
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation — must pass an onsite proctored EKG exam (≥85% overall; 100% accuracy on critical rhythms)
• Experience managing IV cardiac medications and continuous infusions
• Stroke care experience a plus

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must complete a pre-start Relias EKG exam within 72 hours of signing, with a 100% passing score
• All required online modules must be completed by 7:00 AM the Wednesday before your start date — incomplete modules may result in being turned away from orientation (~12–15 hours of content)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from Saratoga Springs to qualify for this travel assignment
• COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine or approved exemption required

Orientation: 24 hours
