Emergency Room RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN for the night shift (19:00–07:00). This is a 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
Unit Details
You'll join a fast-paced, collaborative team in a busy emergency department that manages acute care across all acuity levels, including trauma, chest pain, and stroke patients. The team culture emphasizes family-like support and flexibility—you may be assigned to , resuscitation areas, or other departmental roles based on census and need.
Clinical Scope
Your responsibilities include:
- Acute assessment and stabilization of adult and pediatric patients
- IV initiation, blood collection, transfusions, and medication administration
- Resuscitation support for adults and children
- Behavioral health patient care
- Assisting with intubation, restraint application, splinting, and moderate sedation
Requirements
- Current licenses/certifications: RN license (TX), BLS, ACLS, and either PALS or ENPC (one required)
- Preferred: TNCC or CEN certification
- Dress code: Royal blue scrubs
- Schedule: Weekends required (minimum 2 per month); no call
- No floating
