Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract | Houston, TX

This ED opportunity places you in a fast-paced emergency department managing a diverse, high-acuity patient population. The unit functions as a Comprehensive Stroke Center (survey pending) and Chest Pain Center, and is on a Journey to Magnet designation. The multidisciplinary team includes RNs, paramedics, PCTs, and behavioral health technicians across both shifts.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Guaranteed 36 hours/week

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start date: November 30, 2026
• 4 open positions

Clinical Scope

• Standard trauma and emergency department procedures
• Stroke and chest pain workups
• Behavioral health patient population integrated into unit workflow

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• TNCC

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior trauma or emergency department experience
• Familiarity with the unit's charting platform

Dress Code

• Royal blue scrubs
