Clinical Laboratory Scientist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) Generalist to join the laboratory team on a flexible shift schedule. This is a 91-week contract with guaranteed 40 hours per week.
Shift Options
Choose the schedule that works best for you:
- Five 8-hour shifts per week
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
As a CLS Generalist, you will perform a full range of laboratory testing with a focus on blood banking operations. You'll work in a fast-paced lab environment supporting patient care across multiple disciplines.
Required Qualifications
- Current California CLS or MLS license
- Strong, recent blood banking experience
- TB clearance within the past 12 months
- LIS proficiency (Harvest system experience preferred)
Location & Housing
The position is based in the Arcata area. Housing is available in surrounding communities within a 20–30-mile radius, including Eureka, McKinleyville, Blue Lake, Westhaven, Samoa, and Fortuna.
