Emergency Department Registered Nurse
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Unit: Emergency Department
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
About the Role
Join a high-volume emergency department that serves a diverse, multilingual community. You'll provide compassionate care across all areas of the ED, from medical patients to behavioral health holds, working alongside experienced technicians and unit clerks. This is a fast-paced environment where teamwork and communication are central to patient care.
What You'll Do
- Implement AIDET communication and keep patients informed throughout their visit
- Float across all ED sections as needed
- Work collaboratively to coach colleagues and provide real-time feedback
- Support stroke, trauma, and cardiac-monitoring patients
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ED setting
- Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED preferred
- Current or able to obtain before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
- ENPC within 90 days of hire
- Strong teamwork mentality and flexibility
Schedule & Expectations
- Every other weekend required
- No floating outside the ED
- Flexible scheduling to meet department needs
Dress Code: Navy scrubs
