Emergency Room RN — Chattanooga, Tennessee
This 13-week night shift contract places you in a fast-paced Emergency Department managing a broad spectrum of acute presentations, including behavioral health patients, stroke cases, and orthopedic injuries.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 3 shifts per week | 36 guaranteed hours
- Rotating weekends
- No float requirement
Clinical Scope
The ED cares for a diverse patient population requiring proficiency and the ability to manage behavioral health presentations. Procedures performed on the unit include tele-neurology consultations, moderate sedation, and basic joint reduction.
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active RN license (Tennessee or compact)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS
- NIH Stroke Scale
- CPI (facility can provide if not already held)
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated ER experience with strong skills
- Ability to assess and manage behavioral health patients
- Familiarity with patient communication frameworks (AIDET)
- Patient-focused approach with solid baseline emergency nursing skills
