Emergency Department RN

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work the 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM shift, every other weekend, with 36 guaranteed hours per week.

Clinical Scope

This busy ER manages a full spectrum of acute presentations including chest pain, stroke, sepsis, and behavioral health crises. You'll participate in conscious sedation procedures, intubations, and administer time-sensitive interventions like tPA for stroke patients. The environment is fast-paced and requires strong clinical decision-making and teamwork.

Requirements

• Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2+ years of ER experience
• Current certifications: PALS or ENPC, ACLS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Float capability as needed throughout the department

Preferred

• CEN certification
• Charting system experience preferred

Dress Code

• Navy scrubs (white, navy, or black undershirts and jackets only)
• Hair off shoulders, natural color
• No acrylic nails; maximum 1 inch, clean, no chipped polish
• Body art covered when feasible
• Ear piercings only
