Postpartum Nurse
Assignment Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced postpartum nurse for a 13-week contract. You'll work the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) every other weekend, with no call requirements.
Schedule & Hours
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM nights
- Every other weekend
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- No on-call duties
Requirements
- Active RN license (Nursys verification required)
- Current immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, and TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
- Fit test and health statement
- EPLS certification
- Willingness to complete facility-specific onboarding, including specialty exams, EKG competency, and skills checklist
What You'll Do
Provide direct patient care in the postpartum unit, supporting mothers and newborns during the critical postpartum period. You'll assess maternal and neonatal health, provide education and emotional support, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, compassionate care.
