Postpartum Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
Join the postpartum unit for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on an every-other-weekend schedule with no call responsibilities.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend
- No call
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
Clinical Role
You'll provide direct postpartum care to mothers and newborns during the recovery and early discharge phase. Your responsibilities include monitoring maternal and neonatal health, assisting with breastfeeding, performing newborn assessments, and coordinating discharge education.
Required Credentials & Licenses
- Current RN license (Nursys verification required)
- EPLS certification
- Immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, and TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
- Fit test and health statement required
Onboarding Requirements
You'll complete facility-specific competencies during onboarding, including:
- Specialty exam and core competencies assessment
- EKG exam
- EHR test-out
- Criminal background check
- Badge photo and ID verification
