Certified Surgical Technologist – Operating Room
Position Overview
The facility's Operating Room is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to join a dynamic team managing a diverse surgical program. You'll scrub in on high-acuity cases across multiple specialties, serving adult and geriatric patients.
Shift & Schedule
- Call: Approximately 6 weekday and 2 weekend call rotations per 6-week cycle
- Float: Yes, within scope based on facility needs
- Duration: 13 weeks
Required Experience & Certifications
- Minimum 2 years of OR surgical tech experience
- Level I trauma experience required
- Strong general OR background
- National Surgical Technologist certification (NCCT or NBSTSA)
- Valid state license required at submission
Surgical Scope
You'll scrub cases including:
- General Surgery: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, thyroidectomy, Whipple, laparoscopic procedures
- Orthopedic/Trauma: total joint replacements, fracture procedures, arthroscopy, spinal fusion
- Neurosurgery: ALIF, cervical fusion, craniotomy, kyphoplasty, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion
- Vascular: carotid angioplasty/stenting, carotid endarterectomy, AV fistula repair, femoral-popliteal bypass, AAA repair
- Transplant: heart, kidney, liver, lung, and organ-donation procedures
