Operating Room Registered Nurse
Position Overview
The facility's Operating Room is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a dynamic surgical team. You'll support adult and geriatric patients across a broad range of surgical specialties in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Schedule: 4×10 hours, 10:45 AM – 9:15 PM
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Call Requirements: Approximately 6 weekday call shifts and 2 weekend call rotations
- Floating: Required based on facility needs within OR scope
Required Qualifications
- License: Active Pennsylvania RN license
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience; Level I trauma experience required
- Certifications: BLS (required); TNCC (preferred)
- Clinical Expertise: Strong background in general surgery, total joint replacements, neuro procedures, vascular cases, and transplant surgery. High-acuity and trauma surgical experience expected.
Clinical Scope
The OR supports approximately 14 surgical rooms performing procedures including:
- General Surgery: Appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic procedures, thyroidectomy, Whipple procedures
- Neuro: Spinal fusion, cervical and lumbar procedures, craniotomy, laminectomy/discectomy
- Orthopedic: Total hip and knee replacements, fracture procedures, spine cases
- Vascular: Carotid procedures, AV fistula repair, femoral-popliteal bypass, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair

- Scrubs provided by the facility
- Interdisciplinary support including respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Orientation: 40 hours
