Med/Surg Telemetry — Night Shift RN
Assignment Overview
The facility is seeking experienced RNs for its Med/Surg telemetry unit. You'll provide care to patients requiring cardiac monitoring and general medical-surgical management in a fast-paced environment.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Rotating days and nights in 4-week blocks
- Every other weekend required (nights: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- No Christmas time off approved
- Weekly start dates (Mondays)
- 13-week contract with 72 guaranteed hours biweekly
Clinical Scope
- Float assignments to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units (4-hour blocks, as needed)
- Level 1 trauma experience preferred; required if no prior travel nursing experience
Requirements
- BLS-AHA certification (required)
- ACLS-AHA and NIHSS (preferred)
- Day-one pass/fail competency testing
- Relias practice tests available
- Minimum 6-month separation from previous employment at this facility (permanent, per diem, or contract roles)
