Oncology RN – Night Shift | La Jolla, CA

Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

This travel RN position is on an oncology unit in La Jolla, CA, caring for patients receiving chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions. The role requires strong oncology fundamentals, attentiveness to treatment-related side effects, and comfort managing a complex patient population across the cancer care continuum.

Required Credentials & Experience

• Active California RN license (Temp or Perm; no EMSA) in hand at time of submittal
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ONS Chemotherapy & Biotherapy certification
• Minimum 2 years of concurrent oncology RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Electronic health record experience within the last 6 months

Scheduling & Float

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Float may be required at or below skillset; occasional float to a secondary campus based on census needs

Submission Requirements

• CA RN license and all required certifications (including Nursys verification) must be submitted with application
• One supervisory-level professional reference required
• Maximum 7 days pre-approved time off; no new RTO requests after submittal
• Must not reside within 100 miles of the facility; candidates on assignment in the San Diego area for 9+ months are considered local and are ineligible

Compliance

• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Non-billable orientation modules must be completed by the Friday following their assigned due date
