Fetal Echo Sonographer
Position Overview
Join the facility's fetal echocardiography team as a full-time Fetal Echo Sonographer. This is a Monday–Friday position with no call, no weekends, and standard daytime hours (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM). You'll focus exclusively on fetal echocardiography in a collaborative clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive fetal echocardiograms using advanced ultrasound techniques, including 2D optimization and 3D manipulation.
- Obtain and review patient history and clinical data to facilitate accurate diagnostic results.
- Differentiate artifacts from normal or pathological findings and recognize exam limitations.
- Provide interpreting physicians with oral summaries and preliminary written reports of diagnostic findings.
- Prepare patients for examination and explain procedures clearly.
- Collaborate with fetal radiologists, maternal-fetal medicine physicians, and surgical teams during diagnostic imaging and fetal surgical procedures.
- Support team members through knowledge-sharing and technical assistance.
- Contribute to clinical research related to prenatal cardiovascular disease, including data analysis and presentation.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in a related field.
- ARDMS certification in fetal echocardiography (RDCS-FE).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric echocardiography (ARDMS PE preferred).
- Valid state license.
- Supervisor reference within the past 2 years.
