Emergency Room RN — Night Shift | Mount Shasta, CA | 13-Week Contract

This travel RN opportunity is in a fast-paced Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population of all ages with widely varied diagnoses. The unit operates without a fast track, and nurses are expected to manage their own ER holds integrated within the main department.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour nights: 1900–0730
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday commitment required
• Up to 3 possible call/standby shifts during the 13-week contract
• First to float (ICU float desirable but not required)
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Clinical Environment

• responsibility expected (one designated room)
• Volume of approximately 20–40 patients per day
• RNs read their own cardiac monitor strips
• CT and X-ray immediately adjacent; no dedicated transport team
• Phlebotomy support available; RNs draw when placing IVs
• Respiratory therapy on site managing ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and performing ABGs, breathing treatments, and EKGs

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• COVID vaccination required

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of ER experience within the last 3 years
• BSN not required
