Postpartum RN | Wichita, KS | 13-Week Contract
This travel nursing opportunity is in a Postpartum unit in Wichita, Kansas, caring for mothers and newborns in the immediate post-delivery period. The unit manages a range of postpartum patients, including routine vaginal and cesarean deliveries, with attention to maternal recovery, newborn assessment, breastfeeding support, and patient education prior to discharge.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call obligations
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active RN license (Nursys verification required)
- License/Certificate Verification required at submission

Onboarding Requirements
- Specialty exam and core competency assessments
- EKG exam
- Standard immunization documentation (MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Tdap, Varicella)
- TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA) and fit test
- Background check and 11-panel drug screen
- Employment and education verification
Candidates should have solid postpartum nursing experience, including mother-baby couplet care, newborn assessment, and post-cesarean recovery. Comfort working every other weekend is essential.
