Postpartum Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Postpartum Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in Wichita, KS. You'll provide compassionate care to postpartum patients and their newborns in a supportive clinical environment.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend
- No on-call responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor postpartum recovery and provide patient education
- Assess maternal and newborn health status
- Assist with infant feeding, bathing, and care
- Collaborate with obstetric and pediatric teams
- Document care using the electronic health record system
Requirements
- Current RN license (Nursys verification required)
- Professional references
- Current immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap
- Tuberculosis screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
- Valid Driver's License or State ID
- Completion of onboarding requirements including skills checklist and competency validation
- Background check clearance
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
