This PCU/Stepdown unit manages a complex, high-acuity patient population in a fast-paced environment. If you thrive in a role that bridges ICU-level care with medical-surgical complexity, this assignment is worth a close look.
Shift & Schedule
- 4 x 12-hour night shifts (12:00 PM – 12:00 AM)
- Guaranteed 48 hours per week
- Contract start: November 22, 2026
Patient Population & Clinical Scope
Patients range from 18 to 60+ years old. You'll manage:
- Continuous BiPAP and home ventilator/trach patients
- Low-dose vasopressors, Precedex, and Fentanyl drips
- CIWA protocol (higher-dose Ativan)
- Stroke patients requiring Q2 neuro checks and stable post-craniotomy care
- Lumbar drain management and sheath removal
- Post-carotid endarterectomy (CEA) patients
- Emergency dialysis, hyponatremia, and hyperkalemia
- Rhabdomyolysis and toxicology cases (including antifreeze ingestion)
Required for Submission
- Active RN license (Nursys verification)
- Completed skills checklist
- Two professional references
- Badge photo and candidate profile
Additional Requirements
Standard health documentation including immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza), TB testing, fit testing, drug screen, background check, and EKG competency exam required prior to start.
