Position: ICU Nurse (Night Shift)

Location: Simi Valley, CA

Shift & Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 36 or 48-hour weeks | 13-week contract

About the Role

You'll deliver coordinated nursing care to ICU patients using established standards of care and the nursing process. This role includes supervising and directing various levels of nursing staff, coordinating care across disciplines, and applying critical thinking and professional judgment to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and document relevant patient assessment data
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Supervise and coordinate duties of nursing team members
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide safe, healing care
• Provide patient and family education
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Delegate appropriately and support team members

Requirements

• License & Certifications (Required):
• RN licensure in California
• BLS certification (approved vendor)
• ACLS certification (approved vendor)
• PALS certification (approved vendor)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification

• Experience:
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care nursing experience
• BSN preferred

• Other:
• Electronic health record (EHR) proficiency required
• Willingness to work holidays (one holiday off may be approved)
