CT Tech – Travel Assignment

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in its imaging department. You'll work Friday–Sunday, 11:00 AM–11:00 PM, providing imaging support to a busy emergency department and inpatient population.

Unit & Clinical Scope

You'll perform a diverse range of CT procedures including head, cervical/thoracic/lumbar spine, chest, abdomen, and pelvis studies. CTA studies (chest, neck, abdomen) and occasional cardiac CTAs are part of your daily work. Stroke protocol head CTs are common, particularly during weekend shifts when ED volume drives imaging demand.

Patient population is primarily adult emergency department patients with some pediatric scans and inpatient referrals. The imaging department operates with a small, focused team on weekends, so you'll work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with radiology colleagues.

Requirements

  • Current CT registration (ARRT) and KSBHA license
  • Minimum 6 months CT tech experience
  • experience preferred
  • Ability to back up radiography if needed
  • Comfortable working independently and problem-solving in a dynamic environment

What to Expect

Weekend shifts vary with ED patient load—expect busy periods alongside quieter times. The facility offers a collaborative, family-friendly environment with comprehensive orientation resources and straightforward facility layout. You'll wear black scrubs (not provided).
