RN – Med-Surg Acute Care/OBS Unit | Glenwood Springs, CO
Position Overview
Join the Med-Surg Acute Care/OBS Unit for a 13-week assignment. The facility is experiencing increased patient census, particularly due to orthopedic surgeries and hybrid catheterization procedures, alongside acute and chronic illness management. You'll provide direct, high-quality nursing care using your specialized knowledge to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts, rotating schedule
- Weekend rotation required
- Call rotation: 1 call shift per 2-week period (replaces guaranteed hours that week if staffing needs arise)
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years acute care/med-surg/telemetry or similar RN experience
- Current Colorado RN license
- Current BLS (American Heart Association)
- Current ACLS (American Heart Association)
- Current flu vaccine (no exemptions)
- Permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
Additional Information
- Contract start: November 17, 2026
- Colorado CAPS registration required (allow up to 2 weeks for processing)
- Housing assistance available: newly remodeled studio and one-bedroom apartments located ½ block from the facility
