Medical Imaging Technologist – Travel Position

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Medical Imaging Technologist to join the imaging department on a 13-week contract. This is a full-time position offering 40 guaranteed hours per week.

Shift & Schedule

11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Operate imaging scanner equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
• Prepare and position patients; select appropriate anatomic and technical parameters for optimal cross-sectional imaging
• Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education prior to examinations
• Enter and monitor patient data; transfer and process images according to department protocol
• Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety procedures and guidelines
• Ensure timely submission of high-quality images to PACS with accurate lead markers and patient information
• Monitor equipment function; report malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly
• Maintain a clean, organized department including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms

Required Qualifications

• Current state license/certification as a Medical Imaging Technologist
• Strong technical and clinical knowledge of imaging protocols
• Ability to work nights and weekends as scheduled
• Current immunizations and health screening compliance per facility requirements
