NICU/PICU Respiratory Therapist — Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for its NICU/PICU units. You'll provide respiratory support to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents across a range of diagnoses and acuities.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Weekend requirement: You will work at least every other Sunday; Friday and Saturday nights are guaranteed
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Start date: ASAP
Clinical Scope
This role includes management of:
- Mechanical ventilation (multiple modalities)
- High-flow oxygen delivery
- Non-invasive ventilation
- Nitric oxide delivery
- Airway clearance techniques (IPV, vest, cough assist)
- Collaboration with IV teams, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response, and other interdisciplinary support services
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in NICU/PICU respiratory care
- Current state licensure (Ohio; multi-state compact accepted)
- ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required at submission
- Supervisor reference within the past 2 years
- Clean background (no previous license hits)
- Willing to float within the facility as needed
Time Off
- Maximum 5 days off must be requested at time of application
- Block scheduling not permitted unless for weekends only
