ICU / PCU-Stepdown Travel RN — Laurinburg, NC

13-Week Contract | Days | 3×12s (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

This high-acuity ICU position also covers PCU/stepdown float responsibilities. The unit manages a complex adult patient population with an emphasis on cardiovascular, neurological, and multi-system critical care.

Clinical Scope & Skills Required

• Ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula
• Arterial line and central line care/management
• Titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips; continuous IV sedation and paralytic management
• CVVHD/CRRT, IV insulin protocols, and hypothermia/thermoregulation protocols
• CVA/acute stroke management; post-cardiac surgery care (not directly from OR)
• Pre/post cardiac cath and valve repair/replacement
• Chest tube assistance, procedural sedation monitoring, blood product administration
• Interpretation of ABGs, dysrhythmia recognition and management
• Charge nurse experience required

Certifications Required

• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• CPI preferred

Shift & Scheduling

• Three 12-hour day shifts per week
• Float within the hospital as needed
• Blocked scheduling not available

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience; prior travel experience required
• Valid RN license (state or compact) required at submission
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemption considered)
• Charting system proficiency strongly preferred
