Stepdown RN – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Stepdown RN to join a dynamic nursing team. You'll provide intermediate-level care to patients transitioning from acute to lower acuity settings, monitoring vital signs, managing medications, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery.

Shift & Schedule

• 3 x 12-hour rotating shifts
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Shifts may rotate to meet operational needs; the facility will make every effort to honor your preferred schedule
• Every other holiday coverage required
• 13-week contract

Float Requirements

Potential to float to other units caring for the same patient population as needed.

Requirements

• 12 months of permanent RN experience in a stepdown or similar intermediate-care setting
• Active Ohio or Compact State nursing license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• One professional reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) from past 12 months required
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation (maximum 2 attempts)

Additional Information

• Background checks and drug screening required
• No open background cases or license hits
• Annual continuing education modules required
