Surgical Technologist – Operating Room
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist to join its OR team. This is a 13-week contract position.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- One weekend call rotation per contract
- Weekday call every 4–6 weeks
- No cancellations allowed beyond 2 shifts per 13-week period
Clinical Setting
You'll work in a busy surgical environment with 11 operating rooms:
- 8 OR suites
- 3 endoscopy suites
- Approximately 65 cases per day across General, Orthopedic, Vascular (non-open heart), Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, and ENT procedures
Requirements
- Required Experience: DaVinci Robot proficiency (essential)
- Certifications: BLS (AHA); ACLS required due to modern sedation practices
- Other: Valid, unexpired driver's license (50-mile radius rule applies)
- Dress Code: No false nails
What to Expect
Fast-paced OR environment with diverse surgical specialties and high case volume. You'll be instrumental in supporting surgical teams across multiple procedure types in a clinically dynamic setting.
