Medical-Surgical RN — Night Shift | Wichita, KS
This is a 13-week travel nursing contract on a Medical-Surgical unit, with a night shift schedule of 4×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM).
Schedule & Coverage
- 4×12-hour night shifts
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call obligations
- 48 guaranteed hours per week
Unit Details
This Med-Surg unit provides care to a general adult patient population across a range of acuity levels. Candidates should be comfortable managing a standard medical-surgical caseload and be prepared to float to similar units on the same campus or to another campus within the Wichita area.

- Active RN license (Nursys verification)
- License/Certificate verification

Onboarding Requirements
- Core competencies and EKG exam
- Point-of-care glucometer (StatStrip) training
- Charting system test-out
- Background check, employment and education verification
- Immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza
- TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
- Fit test and health statement
- Drug screen (11-panel)
- Color vision assessment
- Valid driver's license or state ID
