Emergency Department RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week contract on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), working three 12-hour shifts per week. Start date: ASAP.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three days per week
- Weekend coverage expected; may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Guaranteed hours; facility may call off once per two-week pay period
- All time-off requests must be submitted upfront during application
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of emergency department nursing experience (first-time travelers considered)
- Active RN license (Compact license acceptable; pending licenses not accepted)
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications
- Community hospital experience preferred
Clinical Scope
This is a high-acuity emergency department managing all patient populations—neonates through geriatrics. You'll care for trauma, neuro-trauma, stroke, STEMI, head injuries, and general emergency presentations. Skills include arterial line and central line management, ventilator care, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, dysrhythmia interpretation, and ABG analysis.

- Interdepartmental float to nearby sister facilities may be required
