Emergency Room RN — Night Shift | Apple Valley, CA
13-Week Contract | 3x12-Hour Nights (19:00–07:30) | Start: ASAP
This acute care facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for a night shift travel assignment. The ED cares for patients across all age groups — neonates through geriatrics — and manages a broad range of diagnoses including stroke and STEMI presentations, trauma, neurological emergencies, and critical medical conditions.
Shift & Scheduling
- 3x12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekend coverage required; may exceed every other weekend based on unit needs
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Block scheduling available at manager's discretion
- All RTO must be submitted at time of application
Clinical Scope
- Mixed adult and pediatric emergency department
- Stroke and STEMI receiving capabilities
- Skills utilized include , IV placement, blood product administration, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, procedural sedation monitoring, BiPAP/CPAP management, and care of ventilated patients
- Robust interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, radiology, rapid response, and social services
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience
- Active Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Candidates must be open to floating to nearby sister facilities if needed
